6. Old
Business:
• Motion to authorize repairs that are
fleeced to the Clerks type-writer. The cost will be $55.00 per hour.
• Motion to restructure the townships fee
schedule in regards to salvage yards.
• Phone System:
Motion to purchase a phone system from Dave Davis
Communications for 3,200.00 the lowest of three quotes. The phone system has 12
voice mailboxes included.
7. New Business:
• Discussion on the Street Light Taxes.
• Old Copier
Motion to donate
the old copier to charity.
• Appointment to the Grant Seekers Committee.
• Motion to purchase lights for the new police cruiser for a cost
of $ 3,623.00, the lowest quote from
B & D Electronics and Communications.
• Mechanics position.
• The Animal Control Officer has closed his business. Kim Secrete
has offered her services at the same price as Mr. Shipley $200.00 per month.
• Motion to sign the agreement regarding the Multi-Municipal
comprehensive plan and make appointments to the Steering Committee.
• The road department has requested a new weed eater. Motion to
authorize the expense.
• The road department has requested a new tractor. Motion to
authorize the expense.
• Motion to authorize all additional expenses to complete
accounting of township records to be able to continue the 2003 audit.
• Motion to draft Ordinance #2 of 2004, pertaining to recreation
and advertise intent to adopt.
• Discussion regarding the Union Highlands waiver of level of
service.
• Motion to purchase two new computes for the police department
for a total Cost of $3,596.00, which includes two PC’s, a laser-jet printer,
APC battery backup and 20 hours of on site service.
• Motion to authorize attendance at the County Convention for
Employees who would like to attend. The Convention is Thursday, September 30,
2004.
• Motion to advertise the sign ordinance for
adoption at August meeting.
• Discussion on the Building Code Ordinance.
• Motion to authorize Lori Castle to attend a free workshop being
given by PennDot Municipal Services on August 12, 2004 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 Noon. This workshop is in regards
to procedures pertaining to Liquid Fuels expenditures.
