Union Township Recreational monthly report to Board of Supervisors
The Union Township Recreation board assembled on October 4, 2005.
The Recreational board assembled to review the previous records and discuss any current issues. At the meeting the following items were discussed:
1) All board members in attendance
2) Supervisors in attendance:

Monica opened a
Recreational bank account.

Received from Monica the
treasury report.

of $1,600 for the Recreational board

Purely Philosophy
question and or difference:
i.
Specific reason why the
board of supervisors are not using this budget specifically for improvements
and events? No donated funds should be used for paying recreational costs. Why
is this fund being used to pay bills? I.E. Electric / Sewage / Water
b. If going to be used in this manor then please increase
the fund to absorb the cost of theses utilities in order for us to have enough funding
to do have community events or improvements.
c.
The payment to the
business that provided the Pony rides & petting zoo was paid with a road
crew check, why would this be?
d. What was Lynch landscaping given $106 & $66 on
4/15/05?

volunteered appeared to be a resounding success. We can only grow from here.

6) General Recreational Policy &
Procedures

No one allowed leaving
anything in the kitchen. Any food left is not the responsibility of the
township or recreational board.
ii.
Received radar gun and
submitted bill to George Cheplic for payment of $210 from Beaver Distributing
Company. To be used for Community events, fund raisers, & lend to local
athletic associations upon request.
iii.
Alcohol – not allowed to
sell
iv.
Burning allowed once
fire pit created, not allowed on Sunday’s.
7) Pleasant View Park

a. Request
that gravel be placed in the parking spaces due to deterioration form weather.
Parking would be hazardous for visitors.

Facility / field
updates and needs:

Repairs completed to
facility

Why were stainless steel
toilets not put in? Request that whom
ever fixed this remove them and replace with stainless steel.

Gate on lower field will
need replaced in really bad condition
4.
Road grew got lock for
swing gate to upper field as well as they placed guard rail on the other
exposed area.
5.
Placed 2 outlets out
front on the building
6.
Request the Road Crew
winterize the facility after October 29th, 2005.
7.
For next spring ensure
the hard work the eagle scouts put in around the building does not go to waste
please ensure the weeds are sprayed or pulled on a regular basis.
8.
Water heater needs
repaired. Appears to have no hot water at facility and is leaking around the
tank.

2. Did the township ever pass an ordinance to require new commercial or residential development donate funds towards recreational proposes for Union Township?
